My name is John O’Donohue. I am a videographer based in Leixlip, Co. Kildare. I have worked behind the camera for many years and have a true passion for everything multi-media.
I recently decided to offer my services to the hotel industry when I realised that very few hotels in Ireland provide video content on their websites. Whilst searching for a niche gap in the video production market, I realised that prospective hotel guests would benefit greatly by being able to view a hotel and its amenities through the medium of video. Video greatly enhances the Internet user’s online experience and provides so much more information than static photos and text.
I am solely responsible for all aspects of production, from filming, editing, music and voiceover work, so you will have my personal, undivided attention from concept to delivery of your video product.
Video offers an engaging new way to connect with your customers and tell them about the great products and services that you are offering. We offer the facility to do just that, by producing informative, bespoke video content for your business or website, which will increase both your online presence and Google ranking for online searches.
High definition, broadcast quality video production used to be very costly and could previously only be considered by well funded businesses. However, production costs have fallen in recent times and with the increased bandwidth in Irish homes and businesses, prospective customers and clients can now enjoy instant video playback.
By simply embedding video content on your homepage, it dramatically increases the chance of being noticed online and helps to serve in converting curiosity into sales.
I film with the Canon 5D MKII camera and an assortment of the best prime lenses. This camera offers exceptional clarity and depth of field (blurred background behind the subject) and all videos are delivered in high definition, broadcast quality 1080p format (or any other specific formats that you require).
When videos are viewed online, via the likes of YouTube, the playback resolution is inherently dependent on the user’s broadband connection speed. However, all videos will be razor sharp on even the largest of high definition TVs, should you wish to display your video at promotional events, such as trade shows / wedding fairs etc.
By employing the use of a slider and a jib arm, subtle horizontal camera movements and vertical movements from floor to ceiling open up the scene to create a more immersive and engaging experience. “Motion helps to create emotion” and movement is an aspect that I like to feature in my video productions.
We will meet with you to carefully plan and script all aspects of production.
Filming is always discreet and scheduled for times best suited to your requirements.
After an initial edit, your draft video is presented to you for review and subsequent changes can then be made if desired.
Your finished video will be presented to you in as many different formats as you require.
Please note that in order to experience each of the videos in their maximum resolution, you should click on the icon within the YouTube player window which resembles a mechanical cog wheel. This is located in the bottom right hand corner of the video player and all videos can be viewed up to the maximum playback resolution of 1080p.
Not so long ago online video was seen as costly to produce and beyond the reach of most small businesses – not to mention the frustration your customers would experience waiting for the video to stream over the internet. But today these barriers have vanished and thousands of businesses of all sizes consider website video an essential part of their online presence.
Online video usage is growing all the time for one simple reason – it works. Visitors to your site now expect to see more than pages and pages of static text and images – they want to be informed and entertained through creative, compelling video content.
Professional photographs on websites and printed brochures are will always be necessary, but video can show your product or service in action.....something brochures can’t do.
One reason video is such a powerful medium is because it involves the viewer’s emotions. Remember, motion helps create emotion. The ability to reach an audience with images and sound can be incredibly persuasive. The combination of sights and sounds appeals both to those who learn visually and to those who respond more to auditory learning styles.
Customers typically visit several websites to compare similar products and services, so you need to work hard to make sure your brand stands out. Website video can be one of the easiest and most creative ways of doing this. Using video isn’t limited to one part of your marketing strategy - It can be shared via your web page, email campaigns and social media channels.
Appearing near the top of the list of search results on sites like Google is vital if you want new customers to find your business. There are many ways of optimising your web content to achieve this but website video is increasingly one of the most important. Search engines rank websites and even individual web pages more highly when they contain video, especially if that video has been properly tagged and optimised for search.
Video even gives your site greater prominence on the results page, as search engines including Google insert a video thumbnail alongside your listing, helping you stand out from the crowd. Users are much more inclined to click on a Google search result that includes a video thumbnail, than one that does not. Video not only makes your website easier for people to find but can also play a vital role in converting these new visitors into customers.
On eCommerce and retail websites video provides a more dynamic experience and by showcasing your products in greater depth, helps your customers to make a decision to purchase. Video can be used to explain different variations of your products, demonstrate key features and benefits and show how they are used in real life.
Every business has its share of success stories, from satisfied customers to high-profile projects. These success stories are worth shouting about because they demonstrate your expertise in your sector.
While written customer testimonials or case studies can be effective, videos carry more personality, bring your projects to life and have a much greater impact. Hearing directly from real people about the benefits of your business can be enough to convince potential customers and remove any doubts they might have.
